Whether you’re working through infertility, getting ready for IVF treatment, becoming an egg donor or considering surrogacy, there are many emotional implications to consider.
Our IVF psychological evaluations and evaluations for donors, gestational carriers and intended parents are typically required by fertility clinics. If, however, you need support managing the emotional challenges and big life decisions surrounding reproductive care, our therapy for infertility services can help.
Per the guidance of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, this session is a necessary step to review and consult on the implications of third-party reproduction in your life. We like to view it as a chance for you to reflect and share with us, and also ask any questions you may have as it relates to the psychoeducational nature of the consultation. After the session, the clinician will create a brief report for your physician/clinic. This is not meant to be an evaluation to pass or fail, but rather a safe space to discuss this next big transition and step in your life. If you intend to use a gestational carrier or directed donor, it can also be a nice space to prepare for your joint session (see details on this below) with your gestational carrier or directed donor and think about what you want to discuss there with the guidance of your clinician. We also want to offer and encourage the continuation of meeting as an individual and/or couple during this process, as we know it can be equally exciting and stressful.
Our provision of services via Telehealth is made possible by Dr. Mineo's active Psypact licensure, operating under the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (Psypact). This unique license transcends state boundaries, dismantling the geographical barriers that typically impede accessible care. Mineo Neurobehavioral Health's commitment to leveraging this progressive approach ensures that individuals and couples no longer face the daunting challenge of finding professionals capable of conducting fertility psychological evaluations across multiple states.
For many, insurance companies do not offer coverage for this evaluation. Thus, most clinics offer self-pay options for patients with estimates ranging from $450-$1000. Here at Mineo Neurobehavioral Health, we offer competitive pricing to ensure affordability and accessibility to these services. At this time, self-pay patients pay no more than $400 for this evaluation.
